Wine Museum. History room
This room seeks to introduce us on the wine world. In it, they are presented the different steps of the historic evolution the wine suffered through different pieces which are showed.
There are many theories talking about the origins of Albariño. One of them is that the grapevine is an autochthonous species. Another one says that were Cluny monks who brought it from the Rhin region to Armenteira Monastery. After that, it started to expand all around the area and also through the Saint James’ Way.
Stand on each of the ten showcases and discover the little treasures stored here. Since the oldest, a Punic recipient dating from the second century Before Christ to a more contemporary piece as the labels pressing of Pazo de Fefiñáns, dated in 1928 and which has an added value because it was the first pressing made to label Albariño wine.
