Wine Museum. Fermentation room
You will see different designs of the types of wineries in this room. The Cistercian, typical of the monasteries; the traditional and the industrial ones.
The panels show the complete route that the grape follows from when it is on the vine, is selected and harvested in the vintage process, and subjected to various quality and health controls.
Later, after several processes, the wine-making begins until it is bottled or aged in barrels.
At the same time, you will discover the different diseases which may affect wine and its origins.
Not all wineries, but a lot of them, age the wine in American, French or Galician oak barrels. The ageing phase allows the wine to acquire sugar and be better oxygenated, in the same way that the wine develops a distinct taste.
